saturday is trip-day: whitstable! whitstable is a seaside town in the northeast of kent. to get there, ellen and i had to go to canterbury by train (we didn't really mind, canterbury is just too nice!) and then we took the bus to whitstable, which took us about 20 minutes. in whitstable, we went directly to the sea. we had wonderful weather, it was just a bit windy. we took a stroll along the beach and went to the harbour. then we discovered a little market quite close to the port, where i bought some lunch we ate sitting on the beach. later, we walked up the high street and went into some shops - i ended up buying crochet-hook and some wool. i probably have too much free time :D then we took the bus back to canterbury where we had some coffee, then we went home. a nice day!
