we had the egg-throwing competition today. before the actual competition, the head of the art department of our school judged the decoration of our eggs. he unfortunately dropped the winning egg out of his excitement :D luckily, mr. h. had a supply egg. my egg became third...
then we went outside for the competition. the aim was to throw the egg onto a pillow placed in a box-like construction, at first from two feet (about 60cm), then three feet and so on. i managed to crack my egg first - at three feet - but i've never been good at things like that.
the winner-egg on the right

oops.

mr. h.'s homework for tomorrow: to decorate a raw egg. then, he wants us to compete in his egg throwing competition. it's just so silly!

Monday, 25 March 2013

mr. h. brought (hot) cross buns to the lesson today: sweet buns with raisins; a typical english easter pastry. unfortunately they weren't hot as we didn't have a toaster. anyway, it's like dreikönigschueche just with even more raisins in it. i ate it, but didn't really like it.

i went to london today with ellen, minky and lena to go to madame tussauds and to see the brick lane market in the east end of london. madame tussauds was very good (it had to be, after 1.5 hours queuing!). we spent about 2 hours in there, taking photographs of famous people, experiencing the horror show (with actors running around in the dark to scare you) and a 4D film.
i was happy. oh yes.

i just don't like royals.

:D

then we went to brick lane market. it's a market in a big hall selling vintage things and food from every country i can think of. if you are ever in london on a sunday (that's the day the market is mainly open) and you are hungry, go there. the area around the market is quite cool, with lots of street art and cool shops. on the way back to the tube station we noticed that it's quite close to spitalfields market we went to last weekend :D

Friday, 22 March 2013

we spent the last friday lesson before easter with an egg hunt mr. h. organised: we had three minutes to find as many eggs as possible out of 10 in a certain part of the school library and then one minute to hide as many eggs as we found for the next player. we were not allowed to eat our eggs before everyone has had a go, but mr. h. was happily 'tasting' the colourful eggs with chocolate filling to tease us.

Wednesday, 20 March 2013

i had my photography 'exam' today: 5 hours of working on our exam project under exam conditions - no mobile phone, no internet, no talking. for about one or two hours i was in the darkroom and the rest of the time i spent either on the computer (photoshop/analysing) or on doing collage work and presenting stuff in my sketchbook. it was good in terms of getting on with work, but we've still got a month until we have to hand everything in... after those five hours (with an hour break) i had maths and health and social. now i'm very tired after a comparatively long day.

Monday, 18 March 2013

i was very productive in photography, and as a friend is drawing stuff with ink for a photo montage, i suddenly felt like drawing, too:

Sunday, 17 March 2013

the best thing about taking pictures of fruits for my photography project is that i can eat everything after shooting. maybe i should start taking pictures of chocolate.

Saturday, 16 March 2013

i explored london once more with ellen today - we took the tube to liverpool street in order to get to the spitalfields market. the spitalfields market is one of the oldest markets in london with hundreds of stalls in one big hall. they offer cloths, food, second hand and vintage stuff. it was very cool!

Friday, 15 March 2013

we had another cheese eating session with mr. h. today, including some blue/green veined cheese - i found out that i don't like it. i had this disgusting taste in my mouth for a long time! in between mr. h.'s lessons we played mill (i don't even know if that's the appropriate name in english... never mind). after school i had to go to sue's (local rep) to fill out the march form... and later this evening i'm going to zumba :D

Thursday, 14 March 2013

i had to be in school this afternoon/evening, there was a parents evening once again. this time, i was in charge of making drinks, not serving biscuits :D the coffee i made for myself wasn't that good, but i blame the instant coffee powder. then mr. h. drove us home with the minibus:

after school today, it has been snow-hailing, and the sun shone through the clouds; a special atmosphere:

Monday, 11 March 2013

i had a shit day. in the morning, i woke up at 6 o'clock (my alarm was set for 7) and i couldn't get back to sleep because i was freezing and it was already quite light in my room. i went down to the kitchen to have breakfast, looked out of the window and found the garden white - it has been snowing again. when i left the house i almost slipped because of the snow on the pavement. on the way to the bus stop, i forgot to post a letter. i had to wait for the bus for half an hour, it was snowing and the wind blew snow into my face. i missed the second bus because of the delay and ended up being late for photography. in photography, the teacher announced that we have hell of a lot to do - i don't even know where to start. then i had mr. h.'s lesson; i had to watch an episode of a british soap opera (because many english people watch it and it is very important to know that). i don't like soap operas. after the lesson, i went to the shop, just to find out that my favourite yoghurt is sold out. back at school, i was sitting around not motivated to do anything. then i had health and social, quite boring. finally maths - the teacher announced that we progress with the next chapter - i haven't even completed half of the previous chapter. and she gave homework. loads of homework. on the way to the bus we found ourselves in a snow storm. the bus came immediately - but no need to be happy. there probably was some kind of accident on a road somewhere; in addition comparatively a lot of snow for english people. it took me two ****ing hours to get home by bus. two hours. normally it's about half an hour up to 45 minutes. i'm really pissed off now and have a lot of work to complete. i hope your day was better than mine.

Saturday, 9 March 2013

saturday is trip-day: eastbourne! eastbourne is a town at the sea side between hastings and brighton. it offers a nice beach (even with some sand, not only pebbles), chalk cliffs, a sweet town centre and even some sun - it was quite warm, ellen even took a foot bath. we had a really good day!

Friday, 8 March 2013

we played pub games once again in mr. h.'s lesson. today we played another version of quoits.

on the way home, something annoying happened to me... it was raining all day long and there were huge puddles, a car passed by, drove through a puddle, i was standing on the pavement:
