halloween!!! night of trick or treat

i went out with my little host sister, her friends and my host parents - it was very funny. it's easy - when there is a pumpkin in front of the house, they do trick or treat.

london today - it was cool!

i took the tube for the first time today. in the morning it was calm, but when we got back to the train station in rush hour - it was kind of busy :D

after 40 minutes journey to london itself, we took the tube to westfield shopping centre. there we went shopping for two hours, then we took the tube back to oxford street, and went shopping there, in between a short coffee stop at starbucks. then we went to primark, and i bought a bag there:

then we went to abercrombie and fitch, where i took a photo with one of those guys who are paid for looking good. then it was already five o'clock and we were hungry, so my friend said we could go to pizza hut. alright, pizza hut. the pizza was greasy, and i don't think i'll go there again, but it was worth a try.

then we went home...

i'm enjoying my holidays at home today, hanging around, doing maths, sleeping :)) tomorrow i'm going to london, shopping - already looking forward to it. btw, i'm currently not available on whatsapp...

i'm having a film-afternoon with ellen today :) 

finally back at home after alton towers theme park yesterday... i stayed at my friend ellen's house from thursday to friday because we had to be at the meeting point for the coach ride to alton towers very early, and her host dad could bring us. so we got up at 4:45 am yesterday. at about six we left with the coach, and the journey to alton towers took us six hours, with a short stop to buy snacks and go to the loo. arrived in the alton towers theme park (which is something like europapark), we could go off by ourselves. the park has got several really cool rides and roller coasters, but not the best opportunities to eat something (i had the worst burger of my life - well, a bite - but i complained and got the money back, all of it, even though i ate all the chips), and i expected it to be bigger (we could walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes), but in the end, we had a good time. we had to be back in the coach ready to leave at sic o'clock, some people were too late of course, so we left at 6:30. we noticed, that it was really cold in the bus, but we didn't really think about it, until we stopped for the first time at a petrol station. the bus driver told us, that there was something wrong with a water tank and because of that the heating didn't work,but he filled the water tank again and the heating worked. at ten o'clock we stopped again, but then the driver told us, that not only the water tank broke down, but something important, so that the bus could not get started anymore. they'd call somebody to fix it, they told us, and we went into the service station. two hours later, this somebody came. we had a more or less good time, enjoying free sorry-drinks in the service station. so we finally left with our fixed bus at 12 o'clock, and were back at two o'clock. ellen's very kind host dad picked ellen, svenja (another friend) and me up, and we finally went to sleep at 2:30. today we got up at twelve :D and now i am back at home! 

we could make chemigrams in photography today, and it was so cool :D you take light sensitive paper and draw on it with chemicals, then put the sheet in water and then into a dryer. the end result can be something like this:

          

it was a lot of fun to do this!

tomorrow: alton towers theme park!! i am very looking forward to it (apart from the 5-6 hours coach drive, one way - thats why we meet at 5:30 am). 

i've seen a fox and two squirrels on my run today - and i was running on the road! 

only two days of school left, and then half term holidays :D friday i am going to alton towers and i am sooo looking forward to it (even though i have to get up at five o'clock because the bus journey takes up to five hours)! i'm planning to go to london at least twice with my friends in half term, and maybe some other trips. and i have to study for a maths test. :/

ski trip for my year and the year above...: 

i went swimming in the tunbridge wells sport centre today, it's only about 10 minutes to walk from home. with 28°c hot water and too much chlorine (my eyes are zombie-red) it's not the best pool i've ever seen, but good enough to go swimming!

for those people who haven't seen my room through skype or facetime or whatever, two photos that you can see where i study and sleep :D

bad weather day... first i wanted to go bowling in the evening with some english people but many cancelled so we would have been too few people, so i stay at home and watch dr. house or read :) 

i got patriotic post today... thanks mother for embarrassing me! :D :D 

i was waiting for the bus to go to school when my friend called me again and told me that the meeting had already started, so we were too late anyway and we went to town :D there we had hot chocolate at a place called 'ismail' - they do hot chocolate in a really cool way: they melt milk or dark chocolate, as you like, and then they fill it into a cup, and then they put hot milk in it - it was delicious! 

five minutes ago i was thinking that i'll have a calm afternoon, drinking coffee with some friends, but NO, my friend called to inform me that the school does a meeting about the alton towers (theme park) trip which takes place on next friday... so, i have to go to school again. poor me! 

we had another fire alarm today - unfortunately the teachers told us to go back into the building very soon after the alarm, so we had maths for almost the whole lesson :/ now i am doing homework for english, about the gunpowder plot 1605 (reason why they have guy fawkes night on fifth of november). there are questions like: if there was a tunnel leading from the lodgings of the catholics to parliament house, how did the diggers dispose of the soil without being noticed? if anyone has got an idea, tell me :D

today i found out, that we actually have a darkroom in photography. we had to go in there because one of my friends had to take portrait photos for her project, and me and some other people were her 'model'. in the darkroom, they have all the tools to develop photos, and they have a big canvas and one of those huge flashes to shoot good portrait photos:

so we took some photos for my friend's project and some just for fun:

my statistics teacher was not in today, and because i do not really love her, i wasn't that sad - we just had to work, but me and two germans taught the english people some swear words, that was good fun.

i'm having health and social care at the moment but the teacher isn't here and i finished my work so i'm blogging :D all .blogspot.com pages are locked - just not the blogging page itself. i hope you all had a good start into the new week.

today i'll see my local representative again. i don't really know what these meetings are good for, i'd rather stay at home and watch house m.d. for the entire day, but never mind :D

with 28 out of 37 marks i had the best result so i got this wonderful, lovely mug:

this morning, i've been waiting at the bus stop for the bus to come for 20 minutes. finally the bus appeared , BUT 25 meters before it reached the bus stop, this **** bus broke down. then i had to wait for the next bus to come for another 10 minutes. i really hate english public transport. i really do.

while i am here in england going to school, my friends in switzerland already enjoy there holidays. okay, i can deal with that, i have my half term break in the end of october. but what really makes me sad is that i am missing a jungwacht/blauring-camp for the very first time during this week... so instead of eating burned marshmallows fried over the camp fire i am doing my maths homework - buuuh. 

i wanted to buy superglue this morning. i went to the till. then, the lady asked me for an id-card. people might buy glue for sniffing it, she said. wtf??!! i told her i'm not 18 and so i had to leave without my superglue... in the afternoon, i went to another shop, and there they sell superglue to under-18 people :D

this morning when i went for my run, and i got a little bit lost (i ran too far, i missed a branch, and suddenly i didn't know anymore where i was... fortunately there was a sign showing the way to a church i had seen before and i found my way back)... i had my camera with me to take some photos for photography... take a look

as i was taking photos of people eating fast food for my photography project this evening, i came across this very special caterpillar: 

tomorrow: trip to brighton with mr. h!! :D i'm very looking forward to that. first, we stop at pooh corner, hartfield (the home of winnie pooh, http://www.pooh-country.co.uk) to play pooh-sticks. poohsticks is a game first mentioned in a winnie the pooh book by a. milne. it is a simple game which is played on any bridge over running water; each player drops a stick on the upstream side of a bridge and the one whose stick first appears on the downstream side is the winner.
