at the moment, we are taking pictures with a pinhole camera in photography. the pinhole camera is made of a shoebox and to get a picture, you have to put photographic paper into the box, then seal it, that the only light gets in through the pinhole... then put it outside, open the 'shutter' (just a piece of tape) for about 30 seconds (depending on the amount of sunlight), then, in the darkroom, develop the picture... this is my 'camera':

it's just great that i could take photography here, i do loads of cool stuff. in switzerland, the school would never have enough money to do a whole course just on photography, so it's a great opportunity to do it here :)

today i've been to ikea with my friend lena. the closest ikea is in croydon, it took us about 1 hour to go there by train. we had a very funny time :) i just love ikea...

normally, i go to sainsbury's or so to buy lunch, but now we've found something much better: there's a bakery very close to school. they do quite good bread, at least for england ;), and you can put together your very own sandwich - best thing, they have student discount and it's cheap anyway, and you can sit in there:

i had a quite good day - UNTIL i managed to trap a scarf in my host family's hoover... but after a shock moment and making my host mum worrying i found out how to open the tube :D

the first sunday in december is perfect to bake christmas biscuits!! so i went to ellen's place with some friends to bake (or ruin the kitchen). it was great fun!

i spent a wonderful day in canterbury!! i've been there with my friend ellen, we visited the canterbury cathedral (a huge, very impressive and nice building!), had lunch at an italian place (we loved it), did some shopping (new shoes for winter) and even the weather was nice - not brightly sunny, but for england, quite good :D

today i learned that in england, you have to be 18 to buy a scissor. even the plastic ones for children they can't sell to under-18's. where the hell am i? 

there's another parent's evening at school today, so i have to serve biscuits again - yippie!
